Holly Senn

In addition being an artist, Senn has also been a librarian for over 20 years. She graduated from M.L.I.S. University of California, Berkeley in 1992. She uses pages from books to create her beautiful sculptures.

I love the simplicity of the material that she uses and how it's personal for her since she is a librarian. The words create a really nice "texture" on the surface of her pieces. The playfulness with light and shadow is also great as well. Her forms are very organic and reminiscent of coral. They seem so fragile and intricate, but they also have a great surface that just begs to be touched and held.
