Seo Young, created these human figures out of bicycle chains for his Dystopia gallery earlier this year. Alot of the works took months, even over year being welded together. He says by using the bicycle chain replaces the purpose as a machine part and creates new life.
The first thing that these remind me of are those broken Greek marble statues. It shows these beautiful detailed bodies and they are missing limbs. Also the just the amount of time and attention to detail is amazing. You can really see that he spent a lot of time working on these pieces
