Lee Bull

Lee Bul is a Korean sculpture artist known to be one of Asia’s leading female artist. “She was one of the first women artists from Asia to exhibit in major international art museums during the Asian art boom of the 90s” Emily Wakeling, Japan times.

What I love about Lee Bull’s work here is the glitter and illuminating lights drawing your eye upwards. It’s a sculpture that makes you look in a different direction, literally and figuratively given the materials are a contemporary approach to sculpture.

I love the use of mixed media materials and the organice forms present in all her works.
