Heather Dewey-Hagborg (David Johanson Artist Research #3)

Heather Dewey-Hagborg is a Brooklyn based artist who creates portraits from DNA found on objects laying on the streets of New York City. She creates the wireframe 3D model then 3D prints the face. Her ultra realistic work is haunting but beautiful. I don't have any interest in putting photorealistic qualities in my work, but I admire the combination of arts and science.
