iRuder_05 Thomas Quinn

Thomas Quinn is a graphic designer based in Chicago, famous for creating anamorphic typography - an illusion where text is placed in a space and looks perfect from one specific angle, but looks distorted, stretched, and warped from anywhere else in the room.

Face Reality As It Is (2010)
Installation

A New Point of View (2010)
Installation

HH Miami (2010)
Installation

This project interests me because it crosses the line between design and installation. Though not a traditional form of sculpture or installation, this project is still a three dimensional work occupying a space. It's uniqueness and simple concept is executed to technical perfection and has been replicated many times since by other artists.

More of Thomas Quinn's work can be seen on his portfolio website - tqvinn.com
