Fernando and Humberto Campana

These two Brazilian brothers have been designing together for over 30 years. They were the first brazilian's to be exhibited in MoMA in 1998 and have been seen as the most famous Brazilian designers ever since. Most of their furniture is made from waste-products like rope, cardboard, wire, and even stuffed animals.

According to Fernando in a 2004 interview, “furniture is about function, and comfort and I guess it is interesting to work with the designs, and especially materials which play an important role to us. I think we need to be controdictive. I don’t like to follow the rules, and I think we need to break the rules, to be free/break the boundaries.”
