This is a video documenting the work of Brian Chippendale, a comic artist and drummer who was a part of Fort Thunder, an artist collective that lived in an old factory and regularly performed concerts. The building was a huge open space that Brian used to create whatever he wanted in an environment free of ordinary concerns. He covered the entire factory in insane artistic creations and now channels his art into works featured in galleries and shows.
Here are some pictures of what Fort Thunder used to look like back in the day. The building itself was like a giant mutating sculpture that was continiously changing. Here's an article about a gallery Fort Thunder did 7 years ago. It's a fantastic recent artistic culture that existed and I can't wait for more things to be written about what that time actually felt like.
