Artist #4: Tim Byrns
Tim Byrns graduated from the University of Wisconsin Superior with Biology major and Art,
Environmental Science minors in 2002. He had many exhibitions of his works and
won awards. The objects that he makes are
deconstructed and reconstructed due to the temperamental nature of the
material. He sculpts nature’s interesting form like strange sea creatures
or bulbous jungle fungi. He uses woods a lot as materials and uses warm color to
provide an organic sense of familiarity.
I choose this artist because I liked
how he sculpted his work and express lots of things on his works. It was made
with really strange form and it got movement and great composition. Also it
gives me a feeling of warm because of the colors and
circular and covering form.
