Maskull Lasserre is a Canadian born artist who works in drawing and sculpture. He has a BFA in visual arts and philosophy from Mount Allison University and a MFA in sculpture from Concordia University. His work incorporates the strange and unexpected into the everyday.

His two most common motifs are musical instruments and skulls and/or bones and he's most well-known for his projects involving carved animals, people and insects in various objects. The juxtaposition of intricate anatomical forms with mundane household things adds a macabre reanimation into inanimate stuff.
