Jon Smith is a self-taught photographer and also a scientist. He takes photographs of these light bulbs, that he fills with different materials, catching the moment when they explode. I love the life and action it brings to an everyday household item. Also the mixture of sculpture and photography, used to document that moment that the human eye is usually unable to capture. I am not sure how his work is shown, but I think a before/during set of photographs matched with the after-state of the sculpture/light bulbs on display would be really cool to see.
